Sarbacane carries out a new major fundraiser

110 million euros: this is the amount of the last fundraising date of the group Positive, now the parent company of Sarbacane, Datananas and Rapidmail. At the helm, we find the decision-makers from EMZ Partners, accompanied by Nomos and already seen behind other key successes such as Celebrate (online greeting card), HRworks (human resources) or CCMX (accounting).

For Mathieu Tarnus, CEO of Positive, the stated objective is to expand “internationally” for “grow faster“. The company’s main SAAS, Sarbacane, which enables automated mailing and SMS campaigns like Sendinblue, is already available in several languages, including English, Spanish and German. There are responsive templates ready to be personalized according to each sector of activity, from automotive to construction, design and cooking.

EMZ highlights Positive’s growth potential

For new investors, the choice to bet on Positive’s offers is explained above all by a crew “experienced, also with Paul de Fombelle as Managing Director. With this, EMZ underlines a “ambitious external growth strategy“, which is characterized in particular by the redemption of brand competitors like Marketing 1BY1. Its acquisition, for an unknown amount and announced at the same time as the funding round, comes after having already been backed by Bpifrance in 2016. Among the agency’s clients, we find nothing less than the behemoths Mr.Bricolage , WWF or even FranceToner.

Ambitions up to the challenge

With a turnover having tripled in the space of only three years, the group Positive “will approach” them 30 million euros generated in 2022, according to a press release. But its leaders are aiming even higher: by 2026, the goal is to reach 100 million euros in revenue. For comparison, a professional subscription to Datananas (lead generation) costs 60 euros per month with a one-year commitment. On the menu, the service offers to build a database of contacts from the LinkedIn social network, to import its own prospect files or to integrate Gmail, Zapier, Clearbit and Office 365.
