Here is the fate of ING France customers who will not go to Boursorama
ING France customers who have not signed up with Boursorama will be transferred here. While the Dutch online bank is closing its French subsidiary this year, a final clarification has just been made as to the fate of customers. Transferred for many in the accounts of Boursorama Banque, some were still in an in-between while they had still not given their opinion on the question.
For securities accounts and PEAs (stock savings plans), Boursorama Banque had signed an agreement to recover customers automatically, except in case of customer refusal. A small part of them actually refused to see their investment account arrive at the competing online bank, despite its multiple investment and savings solutions. In view of the absence of their steps to find a solution elsewhere, ING France had to decide.
Finally, they will go to Bourse Direct. The subsidiary of Viel & Cie approved by the CECEI and listed on the Paris Stock Exchange is an online brokerage company competing with Boursorama. With it, PEA, PEA-PME, PEA Jeunes, stock trading, warrants, turbos, certificates, ETFs, CFDs, but also life insurance. For a long time, Bourse Direct was exclusively intended for professionals. Over time, it gradually opened up to individuals. It allows access to stock exchanges at particularly low costs.
How will customers be notified?
For the last ING France customers who have not taken any steps, their securities accounts and their PEAs will be automatically transferred at Bourse Direct. Normally, everyone should receive an email or a paper letter with this message addressed:
Unless otherwise instructed by you no later than November 30, 2022, your securities accounts and/or PEA will be transferred automatically and free of charge to Bourse Direct on the weekend of December 10 and 11, 2022. This transfer will avoid having to close your accounts.
The whole thing will not require any effort on your part, except for certain details on the tax advantages. One thing is certain, in the transfer process, ING France and Bourse Direct will take care of making you follow all the procedures so that you don’t miss any steps and move your securities from one platform to the other without any problem. Note that the transfer does not require no financial consideration.
In response to the arrival of many ING customers, Boursorama launched a new profiled PEA last month. Until now, the establishment did not offer solutions so that its customers could opt for equity savings plans (PEA) without going through free management. In other words, they themselves had to choose which companies to place their funds on. Today, the new PEA Boursorama offers 4 management profiles, from the most cautious to the most offensive. It is accessible from 18 years old, for an opening from 100 euros of deposits and from 20 euros of monthly payments.
