For The Game Awards, Steam gives you a Steam Deck every minute
Launched in 2019, the Game Awards ceremony has already established itself as an unmissable event for the video game industry. Remember that this evening, produced and presented by journalist Geoff Keighley, awards the prizes for the best games of the year, but also distinguishes the great figures of the sector. It is also an opportunity to reveal some gameplay of the games that will be released the following year.
At least 150 Steam Deck consoles up for grabs at The Game Awards
The Game Awards 2022, which will be held on December 9, will also give the public the opportunity to participate in a particularly generous competition. Steam has indeed decided to offer a Steam Deck with a capacity of 512 GB every minute for the duration of the live broadcast of the event. To do this, a draw will be carried out every 60 seconds.
Concretely, and if this evening lasts 3 hours, we can therefore hope for between 150 and 180 consoles distributed. To take part in this game, nothing could be simpler. It is enough to have a Steam account and to have purchased a game over the period from November 14, 2021 to November 14, 2022. It is also necessary to reside in one of the countries of the European Union, or in the States -United.
Steam specifies to perform this operation “to celebrate the Game Awards, the reservation-free availability of Steam Deck, and more generally video games”. It’s a kind of win-win deal between the platform and the organizer, who will also probably benefit from a good audience thanks to this contest, while Steam is doing an excellent marketing operation.
