they land on the Tesla!
At the very end of last year, Elon Musk was proud to announce the arrival of a certain Sonic the Hedgehog on board Teslas. Indeed, the timeless mascot of SEGA is part of the gaming section of the American manufacturer. But Tesla does not intend to stop there, and has just announced another major arrival, with the Steam platform. Indeed, the platform signed Valve is now integrated into the Tesla ecosystem… but it may not be compatible with your car.
Steam on board (almost) all Teslas
Launched almost twenty years ago, the Steam platform, signed Valve, allows users to buy games and content, not to mention the presence of various community tools. A system that now has more than 10,000 referenced games, and which has inspired other similar software.
The good news today is that this same Steam platform is now integrated on board Tesla vehicles. The American firm is thus responsible for expanding its gaming section, which was already well supplied with Tesla Arcade. Of course, it is quite possible to enjoy your Steam games via a compatible wireless controller, all while being comfortably installed in the seat of your car.

However, it is important to point out that the integration of Steam on board the Tesla nec only concerns the new generation S and X models, and produced within the last two years. For a very simple reason, these are the only Tesla vehicles to benefit from the new on-board entertainment system.
The on-board consoles of these new Tesla models benefit from a power of 10 Tflops! By way of comparison, the PS5 displays 10.28 Tflops, against 12.15 Tflops for the Xbox Series X. Just like Netflix, which launched a few months ago to conquer video games, Tesla always wants to give more space in-vehicle entertainment.
Among the other new features brought by the latest Tesla update, we note the arrival of a Zoom application, taking advantage of the cabin camera for video calls, not to mention a new light show mode for parties. To this is also added the Apple Music application, available directly from the launcher of the software application, and which allows all subscribers to enjoy their favorite music natively.
