heavy at Apple in 2023
What Apple desktop products will be unveiled in the coming months? Place your bets. Mark Gurmanjournalist at Bloomberg and accustomed to rumors about Tim Cook’s company, has just revealed its latest estimates in this regard. We discover that the iMac M1 will soon have a successor, with, unsurprisingly, a more powerful chip under the hood. It would be an M3 processor, obviously proprietary, but whose technical characteristics are still struggling to be known with precision.
The iMac appeared to be a real revolution when its most recent edition arrived in 2021. Indeed, the manufacturer had then completely revamped the beast, available in several colors and in a slimmer format than ever. But you still have to pay close to €1,500 to afford the device, which can count on a large twenty-four-inch screen to seduce artists or streaming fans.
A new monitor in the boxes?
With this, maybe it’s the ProDisplay XDR which may soon be updated. The screen, with a diagonal of thirty-two inches, is the best offered by Apple at the moment, but it is very expensive: 5,499 euros for the classic edition or 1,000 euros more in nano-textured glass. Cupertino also offers the StudioDisplaywhich is limited to twenty-seven inches and is more affordable, from 1,749 euros.
The new version of the Pro Display XDR, for its part, would adopt mini-LED technology for better contrasts and could also be confined to an intermediate size. It would be an in-between compared to other Apple monitors, with perhaps better value for money for buyers. Gurman is not the only well-known analyst to bet on these indices, since Ross Young (of Display Supply Chain Consultants) also strongly believes in them.
MacBook Pro 2023
In the first quarter, we could also see the arrival of 16-inch MacBook Pros and 14-inch MacBook Pros boosted by the integration of faster processors. The M2 Pro and M2 Max will succeed the M1 Pro and M1 Max for unrivaled results across Apple’s laptop lineup. We will thank the ideal synchronization between macOS and the Apple silicon program, which we owe to the same creators.
Finally, it is also the Mac Pro, a central unit to be installed in the form of a rack or a tower, which should be entitled to a new version in 2023. The mastodon, which is the most powerful machine at Apple, could always embark Intel chips, but optionally with TSMC components.
