If you have this bug on iPhone 14, don’t panic!
Despite the rigorous checks carried out by Apple, whether on hardware or software, the launch of the iPhone 14 series did not go without a hitch. After launch, users of models in this series reported a few bugs, including one that was causing a weird and disturbing sound coming from the camera. Fortunately, all these bugs have been corrected by the firm. And there was no big scandal.
Unfortunately, today Apple is haunted by a new issue affecting its series of smartphones. And this time, the screen is affected. As reported by the MacRumours site, this week, users of the iPhone 14 series have reported, on social networks and on the Apple forum, a bug that causes disturbing horizontal lines to appear on the screen during startup. The problem would have appeared after the iOS 16.2 update.

Yet another bug on the iPhone 14
It is not known how many units are affected by this bug. But some netizens believe that this only affects models using a particular vendor’s screen. But anyway, if you also have this bug on your iPhone, don’t panic. And hold nothing, since no way to solve the problem is currently known. Instead, contact Apple directly to find a solution.
The good news is that it doesn’t appear to be a hardware issue, but rather a software issue, so it can be fixed with a simple update. According to MacRumours, a user affected by the bug would have contacted the Cupertino company, and it would have explained that a software patch is already in preparation to remove these lines. According to another user, relayed by 9to5Mac, Apple would have mentioned a driver problem which will be corrected with an upcoming update.
At the moment, the iPhone 14 is selling quite well
In any case, despite the bugs that plagued the iPhone 14 series (and which were fixed by Apple), this one is selling well. At a time when sales are collapsing among the competition, Apple continues to show positive growth. In the third quarter, according to data from IDC, iPhone shipments were up 1.6% while the market was down 9.7%. “Although Apple was the only vendor to report positive growth this quarter, it still faced challenges as its growth was slowed in many markets, including China, due to the poor macroeconomic situation”nevertheless warned Nabila Popal, research director at IDC.
In addition, the last quarter could be more complicated for Apple, which has experienced supply problems due to confinements in China. But the good news is that these issues have already been resolved. In early December, Foxconn announced the restoration of production to normal at the largest factory dedicated to iPhone production in China.
